LOGAN, Utah -
On Last Week's Games...
"It was another good weekend for us. It is nice to bounce back from a halftime deficit against Nevada, and we were pretty good in the second half. Then we found a way to win another close game against Fresno State, despite some difficult circumstances."
"We are moving on to the next week. We don't have time to sit and reflect on the past games, and the challenges that lie ahead are the concern. (Monday) was a good day for the Aggies, in terms of getting ranked and being selected for a good BracketBuster game. But we need to get by all of that in a hurry and move on to New Mexico State."
On New Mexico State...
"We struggled taking care of the ball against their quickness and athleticism down there. We played well enough to win, but hopefully we take better care of the ball this time. I told the players right after the Fresno State game that we have two teams coming in we beat on the road. You can't let yourself think that we beat them on the road and we will have no problem at home."
"(New Mexico State) wants to play really fast. They press and get some easy baskets. You have to attack their press and hopefully we can do that and still use good judgement. We have been able to keep games under control in terms of points scored. Those are areas along with rebounding that keep you in ball games."
"I keep saying we are not a dominant team. We have to play the right way to have a chance. That certainly remains the same every night out."
On Being Ranked...
"I will tell the team to get over it. It is great and we should feel good about it, but we have to get over it. We have work to do. They all understand when you are in our situation one loss knocks you out of being ranked. So we are more concerned about New Mexico State and trying to compete at the top of the WAC."
On Jared Quayle's Game...
"Jared's game is kind of amazing. He can go through stretches where you think he is really struggling. Then you take him out for a minute and he just stuffs the stat sheet. He just does everything. He made some plays against Fresno State in terms of steals and on offense that were vital to us. We are a lot different team than we were early in the year before Jared found himself."
On Team's Progress...
"I expected the same thing from this team that I do from every team, and that is to work hard, bust their tail and continually get better. I have heard of a lot of teams that go through their schedule and set goals in terms of how many wins. That is impossible to predict where you will be in the season. We have one goal in our notebook and that is to win our next game."
