Daniels Named To Mid-Major All-America Team

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's Shawn Daniels was today named to the College Insider.Com Mid-Major All-America Team which consists of 20 players in the country from Mid-Major university's.

Earlier this week, Daniels was named a first-team all-Big West Conference selection and the Defensive Player of the Year in the league.

Daniels, a 6-6 senior forward from Bakersfield, Calif., led the league in blocked shots, averaging 1.69 per game, and ranked third in rebounds (6.7). He was also second in the conference in field-goal percentage (60.4), and 12th in scoring (12.1).

The Mid-Major university's are made up of teams from the following conferences: America East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Independents, Ivy, Metro Athlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Continent, Mid-Eastern, Midwestern Collegiate, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Sun Belt, Trans American, and West Coast Conference.
