LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's Mark Brown was named the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Most Valuable Player it was announced on Monday. Brown was also named the Most Valuable Player in the Big West Conference by CollegeInsider.com as well as a Mid-Major All-American after leading the Aggies to a 25-2 overall record and a share of the Big West's regular season championship with a 17-1 league mark.

Brown, a 5-10 senior point guard from Tucson, Ariz., leads the Big West Conference in three-point field goal percentage (44.6) and assists (4.81), and ranks 10th in the league in free throw percentage (76.1). Brown also was named a first-team all-Big West selection on Monday after earning honorable mention all-league honors as a junior.

Brown was one of 16 players from across the country to earn CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major All-America honors.
