Stewart Leaves Utah State Basketball Team

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State head basketball coach Stew Morrill announced today that junior Dan Stewart (Salt Lake City, Utah) will transfer to Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Stewart, a 6-7 forward, redshirted this past season at USU after averaging 1.9 points and 1.9 rebounds in 28 games during the 1999-2000 season as a sophomore and 1.3 points and 1.3 rebounds in in 26 games during the 1996-97 season as a freshman.

"We greatly appreciate the many contributions that Dan has made to Aggie Basketball," commented Morrill. "He is a high character young man that will experience much success throughout life.

"Westminster College is a good fit in that it offers a quality education combined with an excellent NAIA basketball program. Dan will certainly have an opportunity for a great deal of playing time. We wish him nothing but the best."
