LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's men's basketball coach Stew Morrill will once again be conducting two Aggie Basketball Camps this summer and limited space is still available.
The first camp will be a Boy's Day Camp, which runs from June 16-19 and is for campers between kindergarten and ninth grade, will run from 8:30 a.m. to Noon daily.
The Boy's Day Camp is an excellent opportunity for the young player to learn basic fundamentals and enjoy the excitement of competition. Ball handling, passing, shooting, rebounding and defending will be taught. Campers will also participate in activities such as free throw and hot-shot competitions, as well as one-on-one and team competitions.
Registration will take place on Monday, June 16 from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on the southeast corner of the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The cost for the Boy's Day Camp is $175. There will be an additional $10 fee for those campers who register on a walk-up basis. A $50 deposit is required with early registration with the full amount due by the first day of camp at check-in.
Coach Morrill will also be hosting a Position and Shooting Camp, running from June 23-25. Campers for the Position and Shooting Camp must be between the fifth and 12th grade. The Position and Shooting Camp helps players who want to improve their individual playing position. Post players will work on their shooting, footwork, post moves and rebounding, while perimeter players will work on shooting, footwork, ball handling and passing. Other camp activities include free throw contests, lectures, three-on-three, one-on-one and team championships. Anyone who signs up for the Position Camp has the option of staying on campus or commuting. The cost is $265 for commuting or $299 if staying on campus. A $50 deposit is required with early registration with the full amount due by the first day of camp at check-in.
