USU Basketball Adds Another National Television Game against Utah

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men’s basketball has added another national television game to its schedule when the Aggies face Utah on the Pac-12 Network in the Beehive Challenge on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Vivint Smart Home Arena. With the game appearing on national television, the tip for the contest has been moved up to 5:30 p.m.

The game renews the second-oldest rivalry in Utah State history, as the two teams have not met since the 2010-11 season, a 79-62 victory for the Aggies inside the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. All-time, Utah leads the series 128-95 dating back to the 1908-09 season.

The game will be one of three neutral-site games for the Aggies this coming season. Utah State is slated to compete in the PK-80, celebrating the 80th birthday of Nike founder Phil Knight, facing Northeastern and New Hampshire in Nashville, Tenn., Friday and Saturday, Nov. 24 and 25.

Utah State begins the season with an exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 3, facing the University of Providence (formerly Great Falls), at 7 p.m., before the official opening of the 2017-18 season at Weber State on Friday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. The Aggies will then host Montana State in the home opener on Monday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m.
