Barton is entering his first season with the Aggie football program, serving as the defensive administrative assistant. He'll assist the defensive coaches with daily football operations. A native of Tyler, Texas, Barton attended Lubbock Coronado 5A High School where he played football and graduated in 2003. Following two years at Lake Tahoe Community College, he transferred to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 2005 he was a student assistant for the Cornhusker football program and head coach Bill Callahan. Over the next two seasons he was a special teams and defensive assistant for current USU defensive coordinator Bill Busch. Last May Barton earned his bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology Education. |
