Defensive Tackle



• Academic All-WAC (2006, 2007, 2008) Quickly: Enters the fall battling for staring spot at defensive tackle, but is expected to see significant time.

2008 (Jr.): Saw action in all 12 games, starting last six contests of season... Posted 37 tackles (13 solo, 24 assists), ranking second among defensive linemen, as well as fourth overall among 2009 returners... Fifth overall on team with 4.5 tackles for loss, with one sack and one pass break-up along with two QB hurries... Notched five or more tackles in four games, highlighted by seven each in Nevada and Louisiana Tech games.

2007 (So.): Played in all 12 games, starting eight... Logged 10 tackles on the season, including one sack for a one-yard loss... Also had an interception, which came at New Mexico State... Posted two tackles in three games, at Wyoming, against San Jose State and against Boise State.

2006 (Fr.): Played as a reserve defensive lineman... Recorded eight tackles, including one tackle for a one-yard loss... Had three stops in season opener at Wyoming and added three more in WAC-opener against Idaho... Made one tackle against Utah and BYU.

2005 (RS): Redshirted his first year on campus... Earned defensive scout team MVP honors.

2004 (Prep): Played on the offensive line at Air Force Academy Prep School.

High School: Was a defensive end, linebacker and tight end as a senior... Had 37 receptions for 774 yards in his career... Had a team-best 88 pancake blocks as a senior... Earned Coca-Cola Student-Athlete honors for his area... Played his freshman and sophomore seasons at Stony Point High School in Round Rock, Texas... Was a defensive end as a freshman and sophomore... Competed in track as a senior and in his first season was second in the state in the discus and seventh in the shot put at the class 4A level.

Personal: Born July 8, 1986 in Ozark, Ala... Son of Kevin and Colleen Bishop... Father is a colonel in the army and was a pole vaulter at Utah State... Has five brothers and one sister... Married to Jessica Crosbie, sister of former USU quarterback (1998-2002) and current USU Athletics Business Manager Jeff Crosbie... Majoring in exercise science... Plans to be a bounty hunter after graduation.
