Despite junior year struggles, he finished strong making three of his last four field goals, including a 52-yarder against North Texas... Holds school records in both field goals made (45) and attempted (69)... Is second all-time in extra points attempted (88), third in extra points made (79), seventh in career field goal percentage (.652), and fourth in career scoring with 214 points.
1999: Made 12-of-26 field goal attempts, but hit a career-long of 55 yards against BYU for the fourth-longest field goal in school history... Also converted 23-of-25 PATs for 59 points, second on the team... In season finale he hit a 52-yarder at North Texas as well as a 43-yarder to earn Big West special teams player of the week honors... Was an academic all-Big West and academic all-district first team selection.
1998: Earned first-team all-Big West honors after establishing a Big West record for field goals made in a season (24-of-28)... Was also an academic all-Big West pick for the second straight season... His 2.18 field goals made ranked second in the NCAA, while his 8.09 points per contest ranked 29th in the country... The 24 field goals were the ninth most made in a season in NCAA history... His 85.7 percentage was the second best in school history (86.7 percent by Russ Moody)... Twice he made five field goals in a game (New Mexico State and North Texas) to tie for the Big West record... Hit the game-winning field goal (30 yards) against North Texas in the season finale... Started the season making nine consecutive field goals and closed the season the same way (the school record is 10 straight field goals)... Was a Lou Groza Award nominee.
1997: Hit nine-of-15 field goal attempts on the year with a long of 47 yards that he hit twice (vs. New Mexico State and vs. Boise State)... Made seven of his first eight field goal attempts on the year... Three of his six misses were from 47 yards or longer.
1996 (RS): Redshirted his first year behind Micah Knorr.
High School: Named all-Pacific Coast League, all-Daily Pilot and all-South County as a senior in 1995... Played in the 1996 Orange County All-Star Game... Made six-of-nine field goals and all seven PATs as a senior... Four of his six field goals were outside 40 yards including a career-long of 49 yards... Was a four-year letterwinner... Laguna Beach won a total of six games during his career and he provided the game-winning points in five of those contests... Earned first scholarship in football from his high school in 12 years... Was a four-year letterwinner in soccer and earned all-league honors as a defender in 1995.
