UTAH STATE: A very strong blocking tight end who continues to improve his receiving skills.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Earned all-Western States Football League first-team honors at tight end as a sophomore at Snow College in Ephraim, Utah as he caught 21 passes for 354 yards (16.9 ypc) with one touchdown, helping the Badgers to an 8-2 record and a No. 8 national ranking... Was selected to play in the National Junior College Athletic Association All-American Bowl... Had three receptions for 29 yards (9.7 ypc) as a freshman at Snow College.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Redshirted during the 2010 season at BYU.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned Utah Class 5A all-Region 3 first-team honors and honorable mention all-state accolades at tight end by the Deseret News as a prep senior at Bingham High School in South Jordan, Utah, as he helped the Miners to a 12-1 record and the 5A state championship in 2009 as he caught nine passes for 231 yards (25.7 ypc) with three touchdowns... Carried the ball one time for 13 yards... Also played basketball and lacrosse, earning second-team all-state honors in basketball as a senior and first-team all-region honors in lacrosse as a sophomore, junior and senior... A member of the honor roll.

PERSONAL: One of four children of Steven and Jane Copier... Uncle, Doug Jolley, played football at BYU and spent five years in the NFL... Returned from a two-year LDS Church Mission in Hawaii in 2013... Majoring in business... Attended same junior college as USU teammates Gaje Ferguson and Landon Horne... Last name is pronounced Co-pee-err.
