2001 (Jr.): Saw limited time due to an illness which kept him out of four straight games late in the year... Recorded his second career rushing touchdown as he went 12 yards for a score against BYU... Completed four of nine pass attempts for 17 yards... Most action was his three-of-six performance for 13 yards against South Florida in the 10th game of the year.
2000 (RS): Started the first two games of the season for his 16th and 17th consecutive starts... Injured his thumb in practice the third week of the year and missed the remainder of the season... In the season opener against Texas Tech he completed 16-of-34 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns... In first-half against Southern Utah he was five-of-15 for 27 yards.
1999 (So.): Started all 11 games at quarterback... Threw for 2,007 yards and 10 touchdowns during the year... Completed 46.8 percent of his passes and also had 17 interceptions... Best game was a 311-yard effort against Brigham Young... Also hit 16-of-25 attempts for 265 yards and four touchdowns against Stephen F. Austin... Showed his ability to run as he gained 77 yards on nine carries against Nevada and had 38 yards on five rushing attempts against North Texas to close the season.
1998 (Fr.): Played in each of the final five games of the year, starting each of the last four contests... His first collegiate action came in a relief role against Idaho in place of starter Logan Galli... He completed nine-of-28 attempts for 178 yards and two touchdowns... His first collegiate start came the next week against Boise State as he threw for 233 yards, while completing 18-of-46 attempts with three interceptions and one touchdown... His best yardage total was his second start with 279 yards against New Mexico State... On the year, he threw for 1,111 yards... His 79-yard touchdown pass to Adrion Pierson against North Texas was the 13th longest pass play in school history.
High School: Was a three-year letterman as a quarterback and free safety at Mountain Crest... Was a first-team all-state selection as a senior in 1994 after passing for 2,500 yards and 25 touchdowns... Was also selected as the Region Most Valuable Player... Was an all-state basketball player as well.
