Andersen reiterated the importance of in-state recruiting for Utah State and announced that the team's current 104-player roster included 10 Cache Valley student-athletes and 51 in-state players.

HIGH SCHOOL: Recorded 37 tackles to go along with five pass break-ups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery as a prep senior at Chandler (Ariz.) High School... Was also a member of the track team finishing second at state in the 110m hurdles (14.16) and fourth in the 300m hurdles (39.11)... Also had marks of 22-7 in the long jump and 6-2 in the high jump... Spent his freshman season at Desert Vista (Ariz.) High School.
