In his first year at Utah State and his eighth as a collegiate coach is Craig Dickenson, who will be responsible for coaching Aggie running backs. Dickenson served in a similar position for seven years at Montana from 1993-99. During Dickenson’s tenure at Montana, Josh Branen rushed for the ninth best season in Montana history with 803 yards in 1996. That was the best production by a Grizzly back since 1982. Branen finished his career third on the school’s career rushing list. Dickenson also coached Montana kicker Andy Larson, the second-leading scorer in school history. Dickenson lettered at Montana as a place kicker and punter in 1991 and 1992 and earned academic all-Big Sky honors in both of those years. Prior to playing at Montana, Dickenson played one season as a wide receiver, place kicker and punter at Concordia College. Dickenson graduated from Montana in 1995 with a degree in history and earned his master’s degree from Montana in educational leadership in 1997. He was born Sept. 4, 1971 in Great Falls, Mont. His brother is a quarterback for Calgary in the CFL.
