HIGH SCHOOL: Was a first-team all-state and first-team all-region selection at Cottonwood (Utah) High School... Participated in the U.S. Army National Combine, and had the highest vertical leap of all the offensive lineman (34 inches)... Helped Cottonwood HS to an 8-4 record and a 5A quarterfinal appearance... Chosen to play in the Hawaii/Polynesia-Mainland Bowl, along with fellow USU teammate Elvis Kamana-Matagi... Also lettered in basketball and track & field at Cottonwood HS, which is USU head coach Gary Andersen's alma mater.
