In his third year as the offensive graduate assistant and working with the Aggie kickers is Tony Flores, who was a work study assistant for the football program in 2005. In his role, Flores assists with the offensive line, helps with scouting reports, breaks down film and works with the Aggie kickers and long snappers.

Last season, Flores mentored Peter Caldwell, who was named to the Sporting News Freshman All-American list as an honorable mention after hitting 13-of-21 field goals. Caldwell was also a perfect 25-of-25 on PAT's, one of only three kickers in the WAC with a perfect PAT percentage. Placekicker Chris Ulinski boomed nine touchbacks on the season.

Flores also coached punter Leon Jackson III, who was tied for second in the WAC and tied for 50th in the NCAA with a 41.3 yards per punt average with 16 of his 62 punts inside the 20.

Prior to coming to USU, Flores helped coach the freshman football team at North Cache High School and the team was 27-0 in his three years working with the secondary.

After graduating from Grantsville (Utah) High School in 1989, Flores attended USU before joining the military for three years. He then worked in the real estate field before returning to school and coaching football.

Flores' nephew Josh is a redshirt freshman tailback for USU.

Flores earned a bachelor's degree from Utah State in liberal arts and sciences in 2003.

Born Feb. 12, 1971 in Harbor City, Calif., he and his wife Taya have three children, Olivia, Katie and Gabe.
