Football Game Notes - 10/8/12
USU vs SUU 09/03/2015 Football
2014 (JR): Played in 12 games, making seven starts... Finished the season with 35 tackles (20-solo, 15-assist), which included 3.0 sacks and 8.0 tackles for loss to rank fourth on the team... Also had three quarterback hurries, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one interception... Recorded a career-high six tackles against both Wake Forest (9/13) and at No. 25 Boise State (11/29)... Also had a career-high one sack and a career-best 2.5 tackles for loss against the Demon Deacons... Forced and recovered a fumble against Idaho State (9/6) as he also had 1.5 tackles for loss as part of his four tackles against the Bengals... Added four tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss, at Colorado State (10/18)... His lone interception during the season was at No. 18 BYU (10/3) and he had a career-high two quarterback hurries at Arkansas State (9/20)... His 3.0 sacks on the season came in back-to-back-to-back games against Wake Forest, Arkansas State and BYU... Finished the season with four tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss against UTEP (12/20) in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
2013 (SO): Played in seven games and finished the season with seven total tackles (2-solo, 5-assist), including 1.0 tackle for loss... Had a season-high three tackles, including 1.0 for loss, against Weber State (9/14), and two stops against both San José State (9/27) and New Mexico (10/19).
2012 (RS-FR): Did not play during his first season at Utah State.
2011 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned all-league honors at safety at Rubidoux (Calif.) High School after posting 78 tackles, three pass breakups, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in senior season... Also played running back totaling 858 yards on 123 carries (6.98 ypc) with 10 touchdowns... Added two catches for 39 yards and one score as well as 10 kick returns for 237 yards (23.7 ypr) with one touchdown return... Also scored on six two-point conversions... Selected as a starter in the annual Riverside-San Bernardino All-Star game... Also a two-year letterwinner in track & field and one year in basketball... Ran the 4x100m relay and the 100m, in addition to competing in long jump and triple jump... Averaged 6.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in basketball... Was on the Rubidoux HS Honor Roll as well as a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete.
PERSONAL: Born Oct. 29, 1993... Son of Clinton and Ladore Green... Has seven sisters and three brothers... Will graduate from Utah State in the spring of 2016 with a degree in communications and journalism.
