Shaun Harper is in his first season with the Aggie football program, serving as the defensive graduate assistant. Harper was a four-year letterwinner and three-year starter at cornerback at Utah, playing for current USU head coach Gary Andersen, then Utah's defensive coordinator. At Utah, Harper played in 43 career games, as his senior season was shortened due to breaking his arm twice. He finished his Ute career with 68 total tackles, three interceptions and eight pass break-ups. In 2004 he was elected to the Utah Football Leadership Committee. A native of San Diego, Calif., Harper was a first-team all-county and all-Western League honoree at Mission Bay HS, where he also received the CIF Sportsmanship/Citizenship award. |
