USU returns 19 starters (O-8, D-6, S-5) and 44 lettermen (O-19, D-20, S-5) from a 2011 team that won its final five regular season games to finish with a 7-6 record and a 5-2 WAC mark to tie for second in the league.

HONORS: Collegefootballperformance.com Honorable Mention Kickoff Specialist of the Week (Oct. 24, 2011).

UTAH STATE: Has great leg strength and is projected as the team's starter for kickoffs... Has great leg speed and drive on the ball... Improved his hang time on kickoffs this spring and also has the ability to hit long-range field goals.

2011 (FR): Handled majority of kickoff duties, playing in 12 of the 13 games... Averaged 66.5 yards per kickoff on 63 kickoffs with seven touchbacks... Booted a career-high nine kickoffs in both the Wyoming and Weber State games, along with posting a career-best 69.5 yards per kickoff against Louisiana Tech... Had one field goal attempt of 53 yards in waning minutes of Fresno State game, but it hit the crossbar.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Participated in spring drills at Boise State in 2011 before transferring to Utah State.

HIGH SCHOOL: A first-team all-Greater Oregon League placekicker and second-team punter in senior season at Ontario (Ore.) High School... Also a first-team all-Argus selection as a kicker by the Argus Observer... Was 6-of-12 on field goals with a long of 40 yards, and made 67 extra points as a senior, and also booted 92 kickoffs with 29 touchbacks... Also punted 12 times with a 38.0 average with a long of 62 yards and two inside the 20... A three-year letterwinner in basketball, earning all-state honors as well as first-team all-league and the league MVP honors, netting 18.0 points and 3.2 assists per game as a senior, helping Ontario HS to the state tournament.
