UTAH STATE: A physical player with great tackling ability... Brings great character and attitude to the safeties group.
2011 (JR): Played in two games, against Auburn and Weber State but did not record any stats.
2010 (SO): Did not see any action.
2009 (RS): Redshirted his first year at USU.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned all-state and all-AAA North Region honors at Mount De Sales (Ga.) Academy, playing defensive back and wide receiver... Was the lone Mount De Sales player chosen to play in the GISA All-Star game... Posted 20 solo tackles with two interceptions and five pass break-ups his senior season on defense, while leading the Cavaliers with 23 receptions for 275 yards... Also ran track & field, earning all-state honors after finishing third in the 200m at the GISA state meet... Additionally, earned all-region and all-Middle Georgia honors... Also a part of region record 4x100m relay team that were two-time state champions... Helped Cavaliers to second-place region and state finishes.
PERSONAL: Born Dec. 7, 1989... Son of Dr. Paul and Sylvia Jones... Has one sister... Father, Paul Jones, was a USU letterman and wide receiver from 1981-84, and was on the Dallas Cowboys roster... Mother, Sylvia, is a USU alum... Majoring in human movement science.
