Along with handing out individual awards, a highlight video recapping the year was shown, as was a video honoring USU's senior class, which tied the 1962 senior class for the most wins in school history with 26.
Of its 52 academic all-WAC selections, Utah State had 18 student-athletes from football honored, along with 11 student-athletes from soccer, eight from both women's cross country and volleyball, and seven from men's cross country.
2012 (SO): Played in all 13 games... Caught two passes for 21 yards, including a career-long catch of 16 yards against Southern Utah (8/30)... Also had one catch for five yards at UTSA (10/27)... Earned academic all-WAC honors.
2011 (RS-FR): Played in nine games, making one catch for six yards against Wyoming... Saw action when Aggie offense went "heavy" with four tight ends... Earned academic all-WAC honors.
2010 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played wide receiver, cornerback and long snapper at Juan Diego (Utah) High School, helping lead the Soaring Eagle to 3A state championship for the second-straight season... Named the Salt Lake Tribune 3A MVP... A Deseret News first-team all-state selection... Caught 11 touchdown passes... On defense, led team with six interceptions... As a junior, had seven touchdowns and over 500 receiving yards in earning all-state accolades.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 13, 1990... Son of Gary and Stacey Andersen... Father, Gary, is the head football coach at Wisconsin and spent four years as Utah State's head football coach (2009-12)... Has two brothers... Brother, Chasen, is a freshman on BYU's football team... Majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
