SINGLE-GAME RECORDS: Set a school and Mountain West single-game record in his first career start at Hawai’i (11/1/14) with his completion percentage of 93.3 percent, as he completed 14-of-15 passes for 186 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions... Completed his first 12 pass attempts against Hawai’i, which is also a school record... Is the first quarterback in school history in the modern era to rush for three touchdowns in a game, a feat he accomplished against San José State (11/21/14)... Set the USU single-game record for rushing yards by a quarterback as he carried the ball 16 times for 191 yards against Colorado State (10/3/15)... Threw for 364 yards at Air Force (11/14/15), which ranks tied for 25th all-time in school history.

SINGLE-SEASON RECORDS: His 211 completions as a junior in 2016 rank ninth all-time in school history for a single season… Finished the 2016 season with 2,838 yards of total offense (2,389 passing yards, 449 rushing yards) to rank 10th all-time in school history for a single season… Completed 60.8 percent of his passes (121-of-199) during his sophomore season in 2015 and that completion percentage ranks fifth all-time in school history for a single season.

CAREER RECORDS: Has a career interception percentage of just 0.021, which ranks first all-time in school history, with his 14 interceptions on 679 career attempts… Ranks fourth all-time in school history in completion percentage (.605), sixth all-time in school history in total offense (5,963 yards), tied for eighth all-time in school history with 31 career touchdown passes, and ninth all-time in school history in career passing yards (4,848), career completions (411) and career pass attempts (679)… Has rushed for 1,115 yards on 257 carries (4.4 ypc) during his career and ranks 25th all-time in school history in career rushing yards, including third all-time among quarterbacks.

UTAH STATE: Extremely competitive and confident... Has great arm strength and throws the ball well on the run... A very accurate passer with the short and intermediate throws... Makes a lot of plays in the run game with his athletic ability, along with extending pass plays... Excelled in the film room during spring practices.  

2016 (JR): Started all 12 games at quarterback… Completed 211-of-361 (.584) passes for 2,389 yards with 10 touchdowns and eight interceptions… Finished the season ranking first in the Mountain West and 55th in the nation in completions per game (17.7), third in the MW and 64th nationally in total offense (236.9 ypg), fifth in the conference and 71st in the nation in passing (199.5 ypg), sixth in the MW and 72nd nationally in completion percentage (.586), eighth in the MW and 92nd in the nation with 10 touchdown passes, and eighth in the MW and 94th nationally in passing efficiency (118.8)… Completed a career-high 29 passes in back-to-back games against Air Force (9/24) and at Boise State (10/1) as he was 29-of-47 passing for a season-high 360 yards with one touchdown and one interception against the Falcons, and 29-of-50 passing for 287 yards with one touchdown against the Broncos... Those 50 attempts are also a career high… Had a season-high three touchdown passes (21, 5, 25) against Fresno State (10/22) as he was 17-of-29 passing for 188 yards… Was 25-of-37 passing for 204 yards with one touchdown and one interception at USC (9/10), and 21-of-27 passing for 263 yards with one touchdown and one interception against New Mexico (11/12)… Threw at least one touchdown pass in eight games and had 200-plus passing yards in six contests… Was 17-of-29 passing for 235 yards with one touchdown at Wyoming (11/5) and 18-of-33 passing for 205 yards with an interception at Colorado State (10/8)… Also ranked tied for first on the team with six rushing touchdowns, and second on the team in both carries (116) and rushing yards (449), as he averaged 3.9 yards per carry and 37.4 rushing yards per game… Had a season-high 15 carries for 50 yards and a season-high two touchdowns (4, 14) at Colorado State and rushed for a season-high 90 yards on 11 carries with a season-high-tying two touchdowns (37, 2) at Nevada (11/19)… Had 10 or more carries in six games and rushed for at least 50 yards five times… Finished second on the team with seven runs of at least 20 yards.

2015 (SO): Played in nine games and made eight starts as he earned honorable mention all-Mountain West honors... Finished the season ranking fourth in the conference and 57th nationally with his 16 touchdown passes (1.79 pg)... Led the team in completions (121), attempts (199), passing yards (1,593) and touchdown passes (16), while also setting a career high in passing efficiency (151.56) as he threw just three interceptions on the season... His completion percentage (.608) ranks fifth all-time in school history for a single-season... Ranked second on the team with both his 356 rushing yards and his 39.6 rushing yards per game, while ranking third on the team with both three rushing touchdowns and 85 carries... Had a career-high 364 passing yards and four touchdown passes at Air Force (11/14), as he completed 25-of-47 attempts... Set a school single-game rushing record for a quarterback with his 191 yards, which included runs of 34, 34, 27 and 26 yards, on a career-high 16 carries in USU’s 33-18 home win against Colorado State (10/3) as he was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week... Those 191 rushing yards, which was his first career 100-yard rushing game, were the most by a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) quarterback all year, and the most rushing yards by an Aggie since Kerwynn Williams rushed for 235 yards against Toledo in the 2012 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl... Was also 12-of-21 passing for 137 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions against CSU, including a 42-yard touchdown pass, and scored another touchdown on a 26-yard run... Was named a College Football Performance Awards honorable mention National Quarterback of the Week following USU’s 58-27 win against Wyoming (10/30) as he tied his career high with four total touchdowns... Against the Cowboys, he threw three touchdown passes (8, 19, 25) and added a 5-yard touchdown run... Overall, he was 14-of-17 passing for 246 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions, while rushing for another 48 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown... In the first half against Wyoming, he was 10-of-10 passing for 171 yards with one touchdown... Also had four total touchdowns in a 52-26 home win against No. 21 Boise State (10/16) with three touchdown passes (2, 10, 21) and one rushing touchdown from 39 yards... Had four 200-yard passing games during the season as he was 18-of-25 passing for 260 yards and one touchdown at Fresno State (10/10), and 13-of-24 passing for 213 yards and one touchdown at New Mexico (11/7)... Concluded the season by throwing two touchdown passes (9, 19) against Akron (12/22) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl for his fourth multi-touchdown passing game of the season.

2014 (FR): Played in seven games during the season, including five starts... Was 5-1 as the starting quarterback... Finished the season completing 79-of-119 (.664) passes for 866 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions... Ranked second on the team in completions (79), attempts (119), passing yards (866) and touchdowns (5)... Also rushed for 310 yards on 56 carries (5.5 ypc) and led the team with five rushing touchdowns... Ranked third on the team in rushing attempts (56) and fourth in rushing yards (310)... Was named the Offensive Most Valuable Player of the Gildan New Mexico Bowl after USU’s 21-6 win against UTEP (12/20) as he rushed a then-career-high 15 times for 70 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown run... Was also 5-of-12 passing for 68 yards with an interception against the Miners... Set a school and Mountain West single game record in his first career start at Hawai’i (11/1) with his completion percentage of 93.3 percent as he finished the game 14-of-15 passing for a season-high 186 yards with a season-best three touchdowns and no interceptions... Also rushed for 13 yards on five carries as he was named a College Football Performance Awards Honorable Mention National Quarterback of the Week... The previous school record for completion percentage was 88.0 percent set by Chuckie Keeton in 2012 and the previous Mountain West record was 93.1 percent set by Boise State’s Joe Southwick in 2013... Completed his first 12 pass attempts against Hawai’i, which is also a school record... Accounted for four touchdowns, including a career-high three rushing touchdowns from 28, 60 and 2 yards, respectively, against San José State (11/21), as he carried the ball four times for a then-career-high 92 yards... Is the first quarterback in school history in the modern era to rush for three touchdowns in a game... Was also 15-of-22 passing for 108 yards with one touchdown against the Spartans as he was named a Manning Award Star of the Week... Saw his first action of the season playing the fourth quarter against UNLV (10/25) and was 3-of-5 passing for 32 yards, to go along with three rushes for 28 yards...  Was 13-of-16 passing for 150 yards at Wyoming (11/7) and 13-of-21 passing for 150 yards and one touchdown against New Mexico (11/15)... Completed 16-of-28 passes for 159 yards and rushed for 43 yards on 11 carries with one touchdown at Boise State (11/29) as he set season highs in both completions (16) and attempts (28) against the Broncos...  During his final three games, he carried the ball 30 times for 205 yards (6.8 ypc/68.3 ypg) with five rushing touchdowns... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was named the Texas Class 5A District 11 Most Valuable Player at quarterback as a prep senior at Sachse High School in Rowlett, Texas, as he led the Mustangs to an undefeated regular season and the District 11 Championship... As a senior, he completed 243-of-344 passes (.706) for 3,522 yards with 42 touchdowns and just five interceptions, and rushed for 559 yards and 10 touchdowns... Was also named to the Texas Associated Press Sports Editors all-state honorable mention team and was awarded first-team Greater Dallas honors and second-team all-Metro accolades following his senior season as he had five 300-yard passing games, threw at least five touchdown passes in three different games, and rushed for over 100 yards twice... Was also named to the Texasfootball.com Region 2 Elite Super Team as a senior... Earned Texas Class 5A all-District 11 first-team honors following his junior season as he was 190-of-290 passing (.655) for 2,803 yards with 28 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and rushed for 1,202 yards on 163 carries (7.4 ypc) with 17 touchdowns... As a sophomore, he rushed for 174 yards and two touchdowns, while returning 22 kicks for 339 yards (15.4 ypr) and four touchdowns... Also played shortstop on the Sachse baseball team and earned Texas Class 5A all-District 11 first-team honors as a junior as he had a .340 batting average, while recording four doubles, 21 runs and 13 runs batted in... Earned Texas Class 5A all-District 11 second-team honors in baseball as a sophomore and honorable mention honors as a freshman... Was a member of the Beta Club Honor Society.
