The awards program honored the athletic achievements of individual athletes and teams during their most recent seasons.
2012 (RS-SO): Played in three games and recorded his first career reception for nine yards against Texas State (11/3).
2011 (SO): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Saw limited action at wide receiver and punt returner at Phoenix (Ariz.) Community College... Tallied five punt returns for the Bears.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year letterwinner at Juan Diego (Utah) High School, helping lead the Soaring Eagle to 3A state championship for the second-straight season his senior year... Earned honorable mention all-state class 3A accolades, as well as all-region honors... Registered 112 rushes for 744 yards (6.6 ypc) with 16 touchdowns as well as 15 receptions for 227 yards with one score... Also threw one touchdown pass, hitting current USU teammate Keegan Andersen with a 63-yard pass play for score on which fellow Aggie teammate Jaron Bentrude kicked extra point... Also a three-year letterwinner in track & field, earning all-state honors in the 100m.
PERSONAL: Born April 29, 1992... Son of John and Sam Gunderson... Has one sister... Majoring in interdisciplinary studies.
