Quickly: Emerged from the spring as the starter at right tackle... Big and strong... At 6-9 he is the second tallest player in USU football history behind current teammate James Newton, who is 6-10. 1999: Saw action as a backup on the offensive line and started the New Mexico State game at right tackle. 1998 (RS): Redshirted after transferring from Mesa State in Grand Junction, Colo. Junior College: Started on the offensive line at Mesa State in 1997 and earned honorable mention all-conference honors at that position... Also served as the team’s punter, averaging 38.4 yards on 57 punts... Had a long of 52 and knocked eight inside the 20-yard line on the year... Made one tackle and blocked a kick as well... Redshirted his first year at Mesa State. High School: Played his sophomore and junior seasons at Thornton High School where he played both defensive end and tight end... Played his senior season as a tight end at Horizon High School... Also played basketball and baseball... Personal: Born Oct. 10, 1978 in Thornton, Colo... Major is business management and philosphy... Hobbies include skiing, jet skiing and water skiing. |
