Utah State Football Starts Fall Camp Friday, Aug. 5

Fourth-year head coach Matt Wells welcomes back 12 starters (O-9, D-3) and 38 letterwinners (O-20, D-15, S-3) from last year's team that finished tied for second in the Mountain Division of the Mountain West with a 5-3 record, and played in its school-record fifth-straight bowl game.

2015 (SR): Started all 13 games... Finished the season fourth on the team and 36th in the Mountain West with 73 tackles (33-solo, 40-assist) for an average of 5.6 tackles per game... Was also fifth on the team with 10.0 tackles for loss and seventh with 2.0 sacks... Tied for first on the team with two forced fumbles and ranked third with five pass breakups... Had one interception on the season and returned it 90 yards for a touchdown against then-No. 21 Boise State (10/16)... Had two double-digit tackle games during the season with 11 against Nevada (11/21) and a career-high 14 stops against BYU (11/28)... Recorded five-plus tackles seven times during the season... Both of his sacks during the year came in the same game at Fresno State (10/10), including one in the end zone that resulted in a safety as he forced a fumble on the play... Had a career-high 3.0 tackles for loss at San Diego State (10/23)... Also had 2.0 tackles for loss against the Wolf Pack, 1.0 tackles for loss against both Boise State and BYU, and 0.5 tackles for loss against Wyoming (10/30) and Akron (12/22) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl... Also had a career-high two pass breakups against the Cowboys... His other forced fumble on the season was against Boise State, as his two forced fumbles during the year came in back-to-back games.

2014 (RS-JR): Played in all 14 games and finished the year with 10 tackles (3-solo, 7-assist)... Had a career-high three tackles against San José State (11/21) and two tackles against Air Force (10/11)... Also forced a fumble at Wyoming (11/7).

2013 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Earned honorable mention Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference honors following his sophomore season at Highland (Kan.) Community College as he recorded 48 tackles and had two interceptions... Also returned a kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown... Played his freshman season at Rochester (Minn.) CC.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned first-team Southeast Conference honors and was an honorable mention all-area selection as a prep senior at Oak Creek (Wis.) High School... Was also named his team's Defensive Back of the Year as a senior... Earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a junior... Also played basketball and was a member of the track & field team, competing in the 100 and 200 meters.

PERSONAL: Born April 10, 1993... One of two sons of Jeanel Crawley... Brother, Marquise, played running back at Concordia University... Graduated from Utah State in the fall of 2015 with a degree in sociology.
