Quickly: Entering season in battle for starting quarterback spot... Has shown continued progress and development... Participated in spring drills in 2005 after returning from an LDS Church Mission... Originally signed with USU in the spring of 2002. 2007 (So.): Saw action in six games, making debut at Oklahoma... Was 25-of-40 (62.5 pct) passing for 258 yards on the season with two touchdowns and five interceptions... Had a 108.18 passing efficiency... Had 66 rushing yards on 28 attempts... Best passing percentage outing was 7-of-8 for 86 yards with one TD at Hawai'i... Had season-high 93 yards on 8-of-14 passing with a TD against Louisiana Tech... Season-long pass play was 35-yarder to tight end Rob Myers against Boise State... Posted season-best rushing outing against LTU with nine carries for 33 yards. 2006 (Fr.): Did not play during his freshman season... Was a two-time scout team player of the week going into the Arkansas and Boise State games. 2005 (RS): Redshirted his first year at USU... Was named offensive scout MVP. High School: A two-time all-state selection earning those honors as a junior (2000) and again as a senior (2001)... Named Class 5A Most Valuable Player as a senior... Led the Knights to consecutive state titles... His team was nationally ranked his senior season... In his final year he threw for 2,650 yards and 27 touchdowns with just eight interceptions... Also caught a touchdown pass and rushed for four scores... As a junior he passed for 1,604 yards and 15 touchdowns... Also played as a defensive back...
