Utah State: Signed in the spring of 1999, but went on an LDS Church mission to the Philippines and did not enroll in school until the spring of 2002... Participated in spring drills in 2002.
High School: Was a first-team all-state selection in 1999... Earned all-region honors as well... Served as a team captain and was his team’s defensive player of the year... Recorded 128 tackles, 10 sacks, nine passes broken up and 28 hurries... Also competed in track and was third in the state in the discus in 1998.
