UTAH STATE: Had a great spring and proved to be a very good intermediate field goal kicker.

HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Lone Peak High School in Highland, Utah... Was 8-of-13 (.615) on field goal attempts with a career long of 58 yards, and 37-of-39 (.949) on extra points during his senior season in 2012 as he scored 61 points... Made two field goals of 50-plus yards on the season as he connected on a 54-yarder against Davis HS as he was 2-of-3 on field goal attempts and 3-of-3 on extra points for a career-high nine points... His career long 58-yard field goal was against Riverton HS... Also made a 47-yard field goal against Mountain Crest HS... Earned academic all-state honors, along with receiving a Regents Scholarship and being a member of the Honor Roll.

PERSONAL: Son of Fred and Marlene Smith... Has three sisters and two brothers... Served a two-year LDS Church Mission in Piura, Peru... Majoring in mechanical engineering.
