2008 (Jr.): Played in all 12 games, starting nine... Registered 30 tackles (19 solo, 11 assists), with 1.5 tackles for loss... Snared two interceptions with 40 return yards, good for second on team... Also posted two pass break-ups... Notched season-high five tackles in both the Oregon and San Jose State games... Snagged interceptions in BYU and Nevada games... Had team-leading 17 kick returns for 412 yards for a 24.2 ypc average, which was sixth in the WAC and 47th in the NCAA... Season-long 57-yard return was in the Nevada game, while his season-high six returns for a season-high 128 yards was at Boise State... Had 11 of USU's punt returns for 97 totals yards (8.8 ypr) with a season-long of 26 yards in the New Mexico State contest.

2007 (So.): Saw action in all 12 games, starting first four games of season before shifting to backup... Tallied 31 tackles with half a tackle for loss... Also had three pass break-ups... Posted career-high nine tackles against San Jose State... Logged three or more stops in five other games... Had a pass break-up at Wyoming and then in back-to-back games at Fresno State and against Boise State... Was defensive team captain for San Jose State game.

2006 (Fr.): Moved into the starting lineup for the final four games of the season... Played in 11 games as he did not see action in the season opener at Wyoming... Recorded 21 tackles on the year... Had five tackles against both Louisiana Tech and Boise State and made three stops at BYU.

High School: Was a first-team all-league selection and named his league's Special Teams Player of the Year... Played cornerback and wide receiver, while also returning punts and kickoffs... Selected to play in the Fresno County All-Star game... As a junior he rushed for 980 yards and nine touchdowns... Defensively, he had three interceptions and two fumble recoveries... Also played basketball and was a three-time all-league selection.

Personal: Born Dec. 21, 1987 in Fresno, Calif... Son of Wanda and KeJon Murphy... Has one brother and one sister... Majoring in interdisciplinary studies and would like to start his own business... Hobbies include video games, working out and sleeping.
