Along with handing out individual awards, a highlight video recapping the year was shown, as was a video honoring USU's senior class, which tied the 1962 senior class for the most wins in school history with 26.
Of its 52 academic all-WAC selections, Utah State had 18 student-athletes from football honored, along with 11 student-athletes from soccer, eight from both women's cross country and volleyball, and seven from men's cross country.
2012 (SO): Served as the team's long snapper in all 13 games... Finished the season with five special teams tackles (2-solo, 3-assists).
2011 (RS-FR): Played in all 13 games as the long snapper on all of USU's punts, extra points and field goals... Had solid season and steadily continued to improve... One of 19 true or redshirt-freshmen long-snappers in the country in 2011.
2010 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a second-team all-state selection at linebacker as a senior at Pine View (Utah) High School... Earned first-team all-region honors and was selected as a Dixie Rotary Bowl All-Star... Was also long snapper for three seasons... Registered 95 tackles and forced seven fumbles in just eight games... Was named his team's defensive MVP as a senior.
PERSONAL: Born Nov. 23, 1988... Son of Grant and Christina Needham... Majoring in exercise science... Married Morgan McDonald in December, 2010... Served a two-year LDS Church Mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil from 2008-09.
