RECORDS: Ranks third all-time in school history with 38.5 tackles for loss and 13th all-time in school history with 324 career tackles... His 144 tackles as a junior ranks as the eighth-most in a single-season... Had 13 career double-digit tackle games, including a career-high 20 stops against Air Force as a junior, which ranked tied for the fourth-most in the nation... Was the only player in the country during the 2015 season to record at least nine tackles in every regular season game.

2015 (JR): Started all 13 games at linebacker and earned first-team all-Mountain West honors for the second straight year as he ranked first in the conference and sixth in the nation in tackles with 144 (11.1 pg), tied for fourth in the MW and tied for 26th in the nation in fumbles recovered with two (0.15 pg), and eighth in the MW in tackles for loss with 13.5 (1.04 pg)... Was also named second-team all-MW by Phil Steele as he led the team with 144 tackles and was second with both 13.5 tackles for loss and four quarterback hurries, while tying for fourth on the team with 3.0 sacks and tying for first with two forced fumbles... Also tied for fourth on the team with two pass breakups, to go along with two fumble recoveries, which ranked tied for second on the team... Recorded a career-high 20 tackles against Air Force (11/14), which ranked tied for the fourth-most at the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level during the year, and had seven double-digit tackle outings on the season, including five during Mountain West play... His 144 tackles rank eighth all-time in school history... Led USU in tackles in 10 of its 13 games and was the only player in the nation to record at least nine tackles in every game during the regular season... Began the season by recording 13 tackles against Southern Utah (9/3), which included 2.0 tackles for loss, to go along with one quarterback hurry... Had 12 tackles, including 1.0 tackles for loss, at Utah (9/11)... Had 14 tackles, which included 2.0 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss, against then-No. 25 Boise State (10/16), while adding two quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery... Had 10 tackles at San Diego State (10/23) and 13 tackles, including 1.0 tackles for loss, against Wyoming (10/30)... 2014 (SO): Started all 13 games he played in at linebacker and one game at running back... Earned first-team all-Mountain West honors at linebacker and was also a first-team all-Mountain West selection by both Phil Steele and College Sports Madness... Finished the season ranking first on the team in forced fumbles (5) and tied for first in quarterback hurries (6), second in tackles (123) and tackles for loss (16.5), and third in sacks (7.0), while adding two pass breakups and one interception... Ranked first in the Mountain West and tied for seventh in the nation in fumbles forced (0.38 pg), fourth in the MW and tied for 29th in the nation in tackles (9.5 pg), fourth in the MW and tied for 30th in the nation in tackles for loss (1.27 pg), and sixth in the MW in sacks (0.54 pg)... Had six double-digit tackle outings on the season as he recorded a career-high 15 tackles in the season-opener at Tennessee (8/31), which included one sack and 2.0 tackles for loss... Had 11 and 10 tackles in back-to-back games against Air Force (10/11) and Colorado State (10/18)... Had three-straight double-digit tackle games toward the end of the season with 13 stops against New Mexico (11/15), 12 stops against San José State (11/21) and 13 stops against No. 25 Boise State (11/29)... Had 2.0 tackles for loss in back-to-back games against SJSU and BSU, and recorded one tackle for loss against Arkansas State (9/20), Air Force and New Mexico... His lone interception during the season was against Air Force, returning it 19 yards... Also forced a fumble against BSU that was returned 50 yards for a touchdown... His other forced fumbles were against Arkansas State, Colorado State and UNLV... During his last four games, he recorded 45 tackles (11.3 pg), including 1.5 sacks (0.38 pg) and 5.5 tackles for loss (1.38 pg), to go along with one forced fumble... Overall, his 123 tackles (60-solo, 63-assist) mark the 62nd time in school history that a player has recorded 100-plus tackles in a season... Also played running back in five games during the year and finished the season rushing for 152 yards on 41 carries (3.7 ypc) with three touchdowns... Saw his first career action on offense at No. 18 BYU (10/3) and led the team with 57 rushing yards on 16 carries, and scored his first career touchdown on a 1-yard run... Also led the defense with nine tackles as he played 108 snaps against the Cougars, and was the only player at the FBS level last year to lead his team in rushing and tackles in the same game... Against Air Force, he became the only player in the country during the year to start on both offense (running back) and defense (linebacker) in the same game... Against the Falcons, he recorded 11 tackles, which included 1.0 tackles for loss, to go along with an interception... Also scored his second rushing touchdown in as many games on an 8-yard run on the series before his interception... On offense, he carried the ball five times for 10 yards with one touchdown, and was 2-for-2 passing for 13 yards as he played 97 total snaps against the Falcons (81-defense, 10-offense, 6-special teams).... Against UNLV, he led the team with 51 rushing yards on 11 carries, which included a career-long rush of 31 yards... Also added six tackles, which included 1.5 sacks and forced a fumble, and did all of this in the first half, as he missed the second half with a leg injury... Was named to the Paul Hornung Honor Roll following the BYU, Air Force and UNLV games... Recorded seven tackles, including 0.5 tackles for loss, in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl against UTEP (12/20)... Also carried the ball eight times for 34 yards and scored on a 3-yard touchdown run against the Miners... Finished the season ranking tied for third on the team with his three rushing touchdowns and was sixth on the team in both rushing yards (152) and rushing attempts (41).

2013 (RS-FR):
Played in all 14 games, including four starts... Tied for sixth on the team with 57 total tackles (22-solo, 35-assist)... Led the team with 5.5 sacks and ranked fifth overall with 8.5 tackles for loss... Also had three quarterback hurries, one pass breakup and his first career interception against Colorado State (11/23)... Was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week, College Sports Madness' Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week and a College Football Performance Awards honorable mention National Linebacker of the Week following his performance against Wyoming (11/30) as he recorded seven tackles to go along with a career-high 3.5 sacks and a career-best 4.0 tackles for loss... Also had seven tackles and 1.5 sacks against No. 24 Northern Illinois in the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl... Recorded a season-high eight tackles against BYU (10/4)... Added seven stops and 2.0 tackles for loss against Weber State (9/14)... Had five or more tackles in six games during the season... Earned academic all-Mountain West honors.

2012 (RS): Redshirted during his first season at Utah State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named Utah Class 5A MVP as well as Region 1 MVP as a prep senior at Fremont High School in Plain City, Utah helping the Silverwolves to Utah 5A state runner-up finish... Had 1,309 rushing yards on 211 carries (6.2 ypc) with 19 touchdowns... Top outing was 256 yards in playoff game... Added 300 receiving yards... Also had 61 tackles and two interceptions, returning one for a score... Amassed 3,653 yards with 45 touchdowns for career... Earned first-team all-state honors as a junior as well as all-area MVP and all-region MVP... Also lettered in basketball.

PERSONAL: Born Aug. 20, 1993... One of five children of Jamie and Kayla Vigil… Older brother, Zach, was an All-American linebacker at Utah State and is currently in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins... Will graduate from Utah State in the spring of 2016 with a degree in sociology.
