Quickly: Last name is pronounced sobo-leski... Will be playing his third different position at USU as he heads into the fall as a backup safety... Came to USU as a quarterback before being switched to wide receiver... Played on the defensive side of the ball this past spring. 2005 (So.): Was in the middle of a quarterback battle after spring practice, but ended up being switched to wide receiver... Saw some time, but did not record any statistics. 2004 (RS): Earned the team's offensive scout team MVP honors... Redshirted his first year at USU. Junior College: Played one season, seeing time at quarterback and free safety... Passed for 200 yards and rushed for 100 yards offensively, while recording 15 tackles, forcing two fumbles and returning an interception for a touchdown on the defensive side of the ball. High School: Was an all-district and all-region selection...Rushed for more than 800 yards and passed for more than 800 yards as a senior... Also had more than 50 tackles defensively... Ran track as well... Earned academic all-state honors three times in football. Personal: Born Nov. 5, 1984 in Sandy, Utah... Son of Mike and Tracey Sobolewski... Has two brothers... Father played football at Utah... Plans to major in physical therapy... Main hobby is lifting weights... Graduated in the spring of 2006 and is attending graduate school while working on a master's in biomechanics. |
