Of its 57 academic all-WAC selections from its spring sports, Utah State had 23 student-athletes from women's outdoor track honored, along with 15 from men's outdoor track, six from softball, five from both men's tennis and women's tennis, and three from the men's golf team.

HONORS: Academic All-WAC (2012).
UTAH STATE: A smart, solid and dependable offensive lineman... Plays with great effort... Has a good knowledge of the offense.
2013 (JR): Appeared in six games... Played 68 snaps during the year, including a season-high 33 snaps against Weber State (9/14), grading out at 79 percent... Recorded knockdowns against WSU and at Air Force (9/7).
2012 (SO): Played in five games... Only had one missed assignment in 54 plays during the season... Graded out at 100 percent in assignment in four of the five games played in... Had an overall performance grade of 92 percent against UNLV (9/29) and 80 percent against New Mexico State (10/20)... Played a season-high 16 snaps at UTSA (10/27)... Did not allow a sack during the season... Earned academic all-WAC honors.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played offensive line at Snow College, helping the Badgers to the Top of the Mountains Bowl title in 2012, finishing with a 10-3 record... Started all 13 games during his freshman year, playing center, guard and tackle... Was named to the Dean's List... Redshirted during the 2007 season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned Utah Class 3A first-team all-state honors as an offensive lineman from both the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News as a prep senior at Bear River (Utah) High School in 2006.
PERSONAL: Son of Kelly and Jennifer Summers... Has one sister... Is married to the former Alyssa Simmons... Spent two years on an LDS Church Mission in Sydney, Australia from 2008-10 before returning to Snow College in 2011 for his freshman season... Graduated from USU in the spring of 2014 with a degree in human movement science, emphasis in exercise science and is pursuing his master's in physical and sport education.
