Utah State Faces New Mexico State In NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl

Third annual bowl game will be televised live on CBS Sports Network at 3:30 p.m. (MT).

UTAH STATE: Plays with great effort and has a high football IQ... Has very good hands and catches the ball well.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned Utah Class 4A first-team all-state honors at wide receiver as a prep senior in 2013 at Logan (Utah) High School from both the Salt Lake Tribune and Deseret News as he had 91 receptions for 1,223 yards and 17 touchdowns... Was also one of 24 players named to the All-Utah Team as he set state records for receptions and receptions per game (9.7) during his senior season... Helped the Grizzlies to Region 5 titles in 2011, 2012 and 2013, and a 4A state championship in 2011... Finished his career with 207 catches for 2,419 yards and 32 touchdowns, while adding 11 interceptions as a defensive back... Earned second-team all-region honors as a prep senior on the basketball team as he averaged 6.2 points, 4.2 assists, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game... Helped the Grizzlies earn a Region 5 basketball title in 2012... Was a National Honor Society member, a Regent’s Scholarship recipient, a National Football Foundation Utah Chapter Scholar-Athlete and an Aggie Scholar... Received a USU Service Scholarship and a Huntsman School of Business Enrollment Scholarship.

PERSONAL: Son of Jeff and Shelley Compton... Has two brothers... Served a two-year LDS Church Mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina... Majoring in business marketing with a minor in Spanish.
