2003 All-Sun Belt Conference (second team) Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week (11-02-04)
Quickly: Will be the starter for the second straight season... Should be a strong candidate for many postseason honors.
2003 (Jr.): Named second-team all-Sun Belt Conference... Shared the team's offensive MVP honor with honorable mention All-America tight end Chris Cooley... Started all 12 games on the season and responded by throwing for 232.6 yards per game... That figure led the Sun Belt Conference... Completed 56.6 percent of his passes and had 18 touchdown tosses to just seven interceptions... Threw three interceptions against Arizona State and just four in the other 11 games combined... Led the conference in total offense as well at 237.0 yards per game... His 2,791 passing yards were the eighth most in school history, while his 235 completions were fifth and his 56.6 percent completion rate was fifth as well... Threw for 280 yards in the season opener at Utah in his starting debut... Produced three 300-yard passing games with 308 at Arizona State, 301 at Middle Tennessee and a career-best 322 in the season finale at Idaho.
2002 (So.): Played in five games as a backup to Jose Fuentes... Completed five-of- nine passes for 11 yards on the year... Best game was a three-of-three performance for nine yards at Iowa.
2001 (Fr.): Attempted passes in four different games... Connected on four-of-seven attempts for 12 yards and one touchdown... First attempt came in the team's fifth game as he threw an incompletion against BYU... Hit two-of-two attempts for six yards against Idaho State... Threw a four-yard touchdown pass against Weber State.
2000 (RS): Redshirted his first year at Utah State.
High School: Was a first-team all-state quarterback at local Mountain Crest High School... Was named the Region Four Most Valuable Player and Logan Herald Journal all-Valley Player of the Year as a senior as well... Was a three-year starter, who also started three games as a freshman... Finished his career fifth in Utah history with 5,190 yards... Was eighth in state history with 47 career touchdown passes... Threw for 1,900 yards and 16 touchdowns with just six interceptions as a senior... Was an all-region pick as a junior and was the all-Valley quarterback as a sophomore... Also played baseball and basketball.
Personal: Born Oct. 16, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah... Hobbies include water skiing, being outside and most sports... Father Dan played football at Utah State and was the head coach at Mountain Crest High School when Travis played there... Had a brother who was an all-state linebacker at Mountain Crest as well... Owned a 3.8 grade point average in high school... He and his wife Amber have one son (Kaden).
