USU returns 19 starters (O-8, D-6, S-5) and 44 lettermen (O-19, D-20, S-5) from a 2011 team that won its final five regular season games to finish with a 7-6 record and a 5-2 WAC mark to tie for second in the league.
USU's comeback from a 28-7 deficit was its largest since 2001, rallying from a 27-0 deficit vs. Idaho State and was the Aggies' largest comeback against an FBS team since at least 1990.
UTAH STATE: Has developed into the best technical defensive lineman on the team... Utilizes his hands very well and has natural ability at his position.
2011 (RS-FR): Logged playing time in all 13 games and recorded nine tackles, including 0.5 for a loss... Recovered a fumble against Wyoming as well as a pass break-up versus Colorado State.
2010 (RS): Redshirted first season at USU.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Kahuku (Hawaii) High School, where he played defensive end in helping the Red Raiders to the division title with a 6-0 league record, finishing with a 12-1 mark and a No. 2 ranking in the state.
