Quickly: Has earned a starting guard position after spring practice... Will also back up at center.
2002 (Jr.): Started the season opener against Utah before seeing time as a reserve the rest of the season.
Junior College: Was a two-time all-conference selection for a team which went 19-3 and won two conference championships in his two years there (2000 and 2001)... Was named a first-team JC Grid-Wire academic All-American as a senior... Also earned NSCA Strength and Conditioning All-America honors as well.
High School: Was all-league selection on the offensive line... Lettered two seasons... His teams were 27-1 in his two years, including two CIF Section III championships.
Personal: Born Feb. 22, 1982 in Morristown, N.J... Son of Richard and Barbara Vandermade... Has two sisters... Plans to major in business at USU... Main hobby is music.
