Utah State Football Ends 2012 Season Ranking Seventh In The Nation In Scoring Defense and Among Top 15 Defenses In Five Separate Categories

USU's defense ranked seventh in the nation in scoring defense (15.4 ppg), tied for sixth nationally in sacks (3.23 pg), eighth in the nation in pass efficiency defense (104.4), 13th in the country in rushing defense (113.8 ypg), 14th in the nation in total defense (322.1 ypg), and 32nd in the nation in passing defense (208.3 ypg).

USU currently ranks eighth in the nation in scoring defense (15.4 ppg), eighth nationally in sacks (3.25 pg), 12th in the country in rushing defense (111.4 ypg), 15th in the nation in total defense (322.7 ypg), 15th in the nation in pass efficiency defense (107.0), and 35th in the nation in passing defense (211.2 ypg).

2012 (SR): Played in all 13 games, making three starts... Finished the season with 25 receptions for 273 yards (10.9 ypr) with one touchdown... Also returned 26 punts for 228 yards (8.8 ypr)... Ranked third in the WAC and 36th in the nation in punt return average... Had a career-high five receptions for a career-best 59 yards at UTSA (10/27)... Also caught his lone touchdown of the season on a 29-yard reception against the Roadrunners... Had four receptions for 56 yards against Texas State (11/3) and caught three passes for 41 yards at Wisconsin (9/15), which included a career-long reception of 36 yards... Added five receptions in five other games... Had a career-high five punt returns for 45 yards against Utah (9/7) and three punt returns for a career-high 48 yards against New Mexico State (10/20), which included a career-long return of 44 yards... Also returned three punts for 40 yards against UTSA and three punts for 25 yards against Idaho (11/24).

2011 (JR): Played in seven games, seeing action on offense and special teams.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Was a part of two Top of the Mountains Bowl winning teams at Snow College in 2006 and 2009... Finished junior college career with approximately 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdown receptions, as well as finished with the second highest punt return yard total in the conference.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year letterman at Mountain Crest (Utah) High School, catching 52 passes for 1,053 yards and nine touchdowns during senior season... Earned first-team all-state honors to go along with being named the 2005 Region 5 Outstanding Wide Receiver... Finished high school career with approximately 2,300 receiving yards, being named first-team all-region following junior season... Was named the Most Valuable Player of the 4A state championship game after catching five passes for 128 yards and one touchdown to go along with an interception on the defensive side of the ball winning the state title with Mountain Crest... Played basketball in high school as well, earning first-team all-state honors after averaging 17.2 points per game as a senior... Earned first-team all-state honors in baseball as well.

PERSONAL: Son of Steven and Denise Webb... Has four brothers and one sister... Served an LDS Church mission in Quezon City, Philippines from 2007-08... Graduated from Utah State in the spring of 2013 with an interdisciplinary studies degree emphasizing in sociology and physical education.
