USU Finishes Football Season With 34-25 Win Against New Mexico State

O - The last time USU won a game with less time on the clock was the 2000 season finale when the Aggies scored on a Jose Fuentes to Scott Collins three-yard pass with :52 left to beat Idaho State 27-24 in the 2000 season finale.
O - USU snapped a six-game losing streak... USU snapped a streak where it had lost its season finale four straight times... USU finished its two-year run in the Sun Belt Conference with a 7-1 home record against conference foes, including a 2-1 mark this year (loss was to North Texas)... USU is now 24-5 all-time against New Mexico State.
o- TB Chris Forbes became the first Aggie to rush for 100 yards in a game since David Fiefia had 106 vs. New Mexico State in the 10th game of last year. His 131 yards were the most by an USU player since Fiefia rushed for 142 yards against UL-Monroe in 2003.
o - Forbes became the first Aggie to record multiple touchdowns in a game since Fiefia had two vs. Arkansas State in the eighth game of last year.
o - TE Jimmy Bohm recorded his first career touchdown and became the 11th Aggie to score a touchdown this season.
o - QB Travis Cox completed his career by throwing at least one touchdown pass in 19 of his 23 career starts.
o - When USU scored to take a 14-12 lead in the third quarter, it marked just USU's second lead in the last five games (also led UL-Monroe 25-18 in the fourth quarter two games ago before losing 32-25).
o - The third quarter has been USU's highest scoring quarter this season and the Aggies scored two touchdowns in that period today. USU entered with 33 points in the first quarter, 30 in the second, 60 in the third and 27 in the fourth.
o - USU had a season high total offensive yardage game (393 vs. UL Monroe).
