-- Saturday's loss was Utah State's 10th game this season decided by one score and those 10 games were decided by a total of 35 points... The 10 games currently leads the country, pulling away from a tie with Kansas State who has nine.
-- It was USU's fifth loss by less than eight points this season, as only the Fresno State loss of 31-21 was greater than eight points.
-- Utah State is now 1-6 in its seven bowl appearances, losing its last two, both in Boise as USU's last bowl game was the 1997 Humanitarian Bowl also in Boise at Bronco Stadium.
-- Senior WR Stanley Morrison's first-quarter reception was Morrison's 37th-straight game with a catch, extending his WAC-best streak.
-- The first-quarter safety was the first by USU since 2009 against Southern Utah.
-- It was USU's first non-offensive score of the season and first non-offensive score since the Nevada game last year, a span of 16 games without one.
-- Saturday was the ninth time that USU scored first, and the Aggies end the season 4-5.
-- It was Kennedy's sixth game in a row with a TD pass.
-- The TD catch was Lloyd's second TD of the season, as his other TD catch came in the Wyoming game... With his pair of TD catches, Lloyd has now doubled his career TD total, as he had two in his career entering this season.
-- Saturday was the USU defense's fourth first-quarter shutout of the season (Colorado State, Hawai'i, New Mexico State games).
-- USU also led at the half for the ninth time this season and is now 3-6 when doing so.
-- SR RB Michael Smith's 63-yard TD run was his second longest TD run of the season behind a 77-yarder in the San Jose State game... It was Smith's fourth TD run of 46 or more yards this season and his seventh explosive (20+yards of the year)... Smith now has eight rushing TD's.
-- Smith's 63-yard run was the longest allowed by the Ohio defense this season.
-- With 157 yards Saturday, it was not only Smith's second-straight 100-yard rushing game and second of season after a 121 yards outing last game vs. New Mexico State, Smith also hit a new career-high rushing total for the second-straight game... It is his third 100-yard outing his career, after a 100-yard game vs. Southern Utah in 2009.
-- The 157 rushing yards by Smith was the most rushing yards by a USU running back in a bowl game.
-- Junior RB Robert Turbin's 101 yards was his eighth 100-yard outing of the season and 16th of his career, ranking among the top 10 active running backs in the country.
-- Smith and Turbin are USU's first pair of 100-yard rushers since Turbin and former QB Diondre Borel each topped the 100-yard plateau against Fresno State in 2009.
-- Saturday was the first time in a USU bowl game that the Aggies has two 100-yard rushers.
-- Turbin's 101 yards left him 20 yards shy of the USU Single-Season Rushing record, as he now has 1,517 yards, becoming just the third Aggie running back with 1,500 yards, finishing No. 3 on the list behind record-holder Demario Brown (1999) with 1,536 yards and Louie Giammona (1974) with 1,534 yards.
-- Turbin now has 3,315 yards for his career, maintaining his spot at No. 5 on USU's Career Rushing list and moving up to No. 19 on the WAC's Career Rushing list.
-- With seven tackles Saturday, senior LB Bobby Wagner ties the USU Career Tackles list (since 1979), tying Del Lyles (1988-91) with 446 career stops.
-- The 446 tackles is also the WAC record (since 1999), passing Robert Rodriguez (2001-04) from UTEP with 443.
-- Sophomore PK Josh Thompson built on his school-record PAT record, now with 57 on the year, moving up to tie for No. 7 on USU's Career PAT mark, and his 58 PAT attempts is No. 10 on the Aggies' Career list.
-- All 21 of USU's captains were on the field for the coin toss, as four went to midfield for the toss: #1 SR WR Xavier Martin, #4 senior S Walter McClenton, #9 SR LB Bobby Wagner, and #43 SR LB Kyle Gallagher.
-- Senior LB Bobby Wagner made his 40th-consecutive start and made his 45th start overall, leading USU in both departments.
-- Junior RB Robert Turbin started for the 36th time of his career, but 13th since the 2009 season-finale after missing the entire 2010 season with an injury.
