LOGAN, Utah -
Utah State football will have four of its games televised this fall on CBS Sports Network, ESPN networks or FOX Sports as the Mountain West announced its national television package Wednesday afternoon.
Between CBS Sports Network and ESPN networks, 45 Mountain West football games will be aired this coming season on various platforms.
Utah State's four nationally televised contests will include two home games as CBS Sports Network will broadcast its in-state matchup with BYU on Friday, Sept. 29, at 6 p.m., and its Mountain West game against Boise State on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 8 p.m.
Furthermore, Utah State's regular-season opener at Wisconsin on Friday, Sept. 1, will be televised on either ESPN or FOX, while its regular-season finale at Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 25, will be broadcast on one of the ESPN networks. Kickoff times and outlets for both of these games will be announced at a later date.
Additional 2017 broadcasts by ROOT Sports, the Mountain West Network on Campus Insiders and OC Sports (Hawai'i) will be announced in the coming months.
Utah State's non-conference schedule takes up the first three weeks of the season. After opening the season at Wisconsin, USU begins its home season against Idaho State on Thursday, Sept. 7, and then plays at Wake Forest on Saturday, Sept. 16.
Utah State will begin Mountain West play at San José State on Saturday, Sept. 23, followed by its final non-conference game of the season the following weekend when it hosts BYU (9/29).
Utah State returns to Mountain West play in October and hosts Colorado State (10/7) and Wyoming (10/14) on consecutive Saturdays, before playing at UNLV on Saturday, Oct. 21. Following its home game against Boise State (10/28), USU plays at New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 4.
Utah State's bye week will occur during the second Saturday in November, prior to its final two games of the regular season as it hosts Hawai'i on Saturday, Nov. 18, and concludes conference play and the regular season at Air Force on Saturday, Nov. 25.
Kickoff times for all remaining games will be announced at a later date.
Overall, Utah State will face nine teams who played in bowl games in 2017 as five of USU's 2017 opponents recorded at least nine wins a year ago, while nine of its opponents had at least seven victories.
The 2017 schedule will play out over 14 weeks, concluding on Saturday, Dec. 2, with the Mountain West Football Championship Game to be played at the home stadium of the highest-ranked of the two divisional champions.
The 2017 Mountain West football membership includes Air Force, Boise State, Colorado State, New Mexico, Utah State and Wyoming in the Mountain Division and Fresno State, Hawai'i, Nevada, San Diego State, San José State and UNLV in the West Division.
