Utah State Football Will Have Six Additional Nationally Televised Games in 2014

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State football will have six more nationally televised games it was announced Thursday as the Mountain West released the balance of its national television package for the 2014 season. In all, nine of Utah State's 13 regular season games this coming fall are slated for national television.
The additional 34 Mountain West games will be aired by CBS Sports Network and ESPN exclusively on Saturdays. Between the two television networks, 45 football games thus far will be aired this coming season on various platforms.
Utah State's six additional nationally televised contests will include four home games and two road games as four of the matchups will appear on one of the ESPN Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU) and the other two will be televised by CBS Sports Network.
Utah State's two games on CBS Sports Network include its non-conference home game against Wake Forest on Saturday, Sept. 13 and its Mountain West road game at Colorado State on Saturday, Oct. 18. Both games will kickoff at 5 p.m. (MT).
Utah State games that will be nationally televised on one of the ESPN Networks include three Mountain West home matchups, as the Aggies will host Air Force on Saturday, Oct. 11, UNLV on Saturday, Oct. 25 and New Mexico on Saturday, Nov. 15. Furthermore, USU's regular season finale at Mountain West foe Boise State will also be nationally televised by ESPN on Saturday, Nov. 29.
Kickoff times and specific outlets for Utah State's four ESPN games mentioned above will be determined during the course of the regular season (generally a 12-day window).
Utah State has two more Mountain West games that will be televised nationally on ESPN2 as part of an 11-game Friday night package that was announced by the conference last week. USU will play at Wyoming on Friday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m., while its home finale against San José State will be played on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m.
Additional 2014 broadcasts by ROOT Sports and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will be announced in the coming weeks.
During the 2013 season, Utah State had 11 nationally televised games on ABC, CBS, CBS Sports Network and the EPSN family of networks, and two more games broadcast regionally by ROOT Sports. Utah State will open the 2014 season on Sunday, Aug. 31 at Tennessee and play its first home game the following weekend as it hosts Idaho State on Saturday, Sept. 6. USU will begin Mountain West play on Saturday, Oct. 11 at home against Air Force.
