LOGAN, Utah - Former Utah State football players Rob Myers and De'von Hall recently signed rookie free agent deals, as Myers inked with the New York Jets while Hall signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

Myers, a tight end, and Hall, a safety, were both among 14 rookie free agents signed by their respective teams.

Former Utah State tight end Rob Myers signed with the New York Jets as a rookie free agent.

Myers, who had 21 receptions for 320 yards with three touchdowns, led the nation's tight ends with 15.2 yards per catch his junior season of 2007. His season was highlighted by being named the John Mackey National Tight End of the Week on Nov. 21, 2007 for his career-best outing of 117 yards on four catches with two TD's in USU's win at New Mexico State. However, Myers missed his senior season of 2008 with a preseason injury.

Myers attended the NFL Combine in February, but his action was limited due to his injury rehab.

Hall was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game. Last season, Hall posted 72 total tackles (33 solo, 39 assists), with two tackles for loss and one sack. He also had a team-high seven pass break-ups, as well as one interception. Hall ended his career with 128 career tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions, 13 pass break-ups and four fumble recoveries.

Myers and Hall make eight former Aggies on NFL rosters, joining Jarrett Bush (CB, Green Bay), Chris Cooley (TE, Washington), Kevin Curtis (WR, Philadelphia) Shawn Murphy (OG, Miami), Donald Penn (OT, Tampa Bay) and Kevin Robinson (WR/KR, Kansas City).
