Keeton is also one of just two players from the state of Utah on the list along with BYU's Kyle Van Noy.
Other preseason honors for Keeton this summer include being one of 30 players named to the first edition of the 2013 Heismanpundit/CBSSports.com Heisman Trophy Watch List along with being named to the Maxwell Award Watch List, which is given annually to America's College Player of the Year and to the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award Watch List, which is presented annually to the nation's best college quarterback. Off the field, Keeton serves as a football Student-Athletes Advisory Committee (SAAC) Representative providing a voice for his teammates and fellow student-athletes on pending policy and rules changes and other topics the athletic administration seeks feedback on. He also participates as a member of the Mountain West SAAC, serving as Utah State's student-athlete representative.
