LOGAN, Utah - Utah State football held its Ladies Clinic Thursday evening, with 150 women participating in the team's 11th annual event on Merlin Olsen Field at Maverik Stadium.

"It's always great to have the ladies out here for a fun night of teaching football and its techniques. We appreciate everyone coming out to support Utah State football," said head coach Matt Wells. "It's a great way for us to give back to the community, but also to give back to the Intermountain Foundation at Logan Regional Hospital. We appreciate America First Credit Union for sponsoring this event again, as they always to a great job.

The clinic was designed to teach participants football skills, techniques and the ins-and-outs of the game. Participants also had the opportunity to meet the Aggie football coaching staff and selected players, while getting an inside look at the program's facilities.

"This is a fun event to be a part of. It's great to see all the women, coaches and players come out from the Valley and work out with us," said senior cornerback Jalen Davis.

Participants were split into three groups, rotating between activities. The women experienced on-field drills with players and position coaches, and were able to tour the team facilities, including stops in the film room, locker room and ICON Sports Performance Center. The evening concluded with a reception in the West Stadium Center.

Utah State will open the 2017 season on the road, as the Aggies take on Wisconsin on Friday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. (MT). The team will return to Maverik Stadium for the home-opening game against Idaho State on Thursday, Sept. 7, with kickoff set for 6 p.m.
