Utah State Football Continues to Receive Votes in USA Today Coaches Poll

For the fourth week in a row, Utah State football is listed among the other schools receiving votes in this week's USA Today coaches' poll released Sunday as it garnered five votes to rank tied for 39th in the nation.
Prior to its season opener, USU garnered 23 top-25 votes in the USA Today preseason coaches' poll to rank 35th nationally and eight votes in the Associate Press preseason poll to rank 37th in the nation. The next two weeks, USU was tied for 43rd in the USA Today Coaches Poll
Utah State shares it's 39th-spot with Mountain West Conference rival Boise State. Additionally, fellow Mountain West member Fresno State has cracked into the top 25 at the No. 25 spot in the USA Today Coaches Poll with 75 votes. Non-conference opponents BYU and USC received eight and seven votes each to rank 36th and 37th, respectively, in this week's USA Today coaches' poll.
Utah State will play at USC on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1:30 p.m. (MT). The game will be nationally televised in reverse mirror format, playing on ABC in the west and on ESPN2 in the east. The team will return to MWC competition the next week, playing at San Jose State on Friday, Sept. 27. The game will air on ESPN at 7 p.m. (MT). The Aggies then return home to host BYU and Boise State in consecutive weeks on Friday, Oct. 5 and Saturday, Oct. 12. Both home games will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network at 6 p.m. (MT).
