113 / 119 -- USU is taking the field for the 113th season of football in 119 years. The Aggies beat Utah, 12-0, in 1892, but then did not field a team until 1896, when they again only played one game but then played every year since with the exceptions of 1918 when to World War I and influenza cancelled the season and 1943 due to World War II.

A USU WIN WOULD...
• Even USU's record on the season at 3-3, marking the best record through six games since 1983 when the Aggies also were 3-3.
• Be the Aggies' first win in Fresno since 1980, as USU is 0-9-1 there in their last 10 meetings and would snap a five-game losing skein there after a 24-24 tie in 1990, losing the previous four before that.
• Give Utah State its first win over Fresno State since 2006, halting a four-game losing skid, as USU's last win was a 13-12 thriller in 2006.
• Open the Aggies' WAC ledger at 1-0 for just the second time in USU's seven seasons in the league, halting a two-game WAC-opener losing streak.
• Improve Utah State to 4-2 in road conference openers.
• Be USU's 12th win in its last 21 conference openers.
• Move USU to 2-1 vs. Fresno State in conference openers, as Saturday is the second-straight season that the Aggies' WAC ledger has opened with the Bulldogs, while also opening the 1978 Big West slate against Fresno State.
• Move USU to 11-15-1 overall vs. Fresno State.
• Improve the Aggies to 3-11-1 at Fresno.
• Be Utah State's second-straight win in the state of California and improve to 20-36-1 in games played on California soil.
• Improve USU to 53-65-2 overall against schools from the state of California.
• Even the Aggies' record at 7-7-1 in games played on Oct. 15 since 1921, winning two of the last three and three of last five on the 15th day of the 10th month.
• Improve USU to 6-10-1 against Fresno State in October and stopping a two-game losing skid, as well as improving to 2-7-1 against the Bulldogs in Fresno in October.
• Turn the "A" Blue, which received an upgrade with new, environmentally-safe LED lights last year.

A USU LOSS WOULD...
• Be Utah State's fifth loss in a row overall to Fresno State, falling to 10-16-1 against the Bulldogs.
• Deal the Aggies their sixth-straight loss at Fresno, sliding to 2-12-1 there, remaining winless since 1980.
• Slide USU to 5-11-1 vs. FS in October meetings, including 1-8-1 against the Bulldogs in Fresno in October.
• Drop USU to 6-8-1 on Oct. 15 since 1921, losing two in a row and three of last four.
• Deal the Aggies their 11th loss on California soil in their last 12 games, sliding to 19-37-1 in games played in California.
• Slide USU's record against schools from the state of California to 52-63-2.
• Drop USU to 2-4 overall on the season.
• As always, be not as good as a win.
