Bohn, Eagal Earn Academic all-District Football Honors

LOGAN, Utah - For the second straight year, Utah State football players Brad Bohn and Blake Eagal earned first-team academic all-district VIII honors it was announced recently.

Bohn, a senior placekicker from Laguna Beach, Calif. has built a 3.41 grade-point average in psychology. Bohn has been a three-time academic all-Big West Conference selection and is bidding to become just the second USU player to earn that honor four times later this month. Ben Holbrook is the only other Aggie to have been named four times.

Heading into the final game of his career against Idaho State on Saturday, Bohn ranks first at Utah State in career field goals made with 58, which also ranks second in Big West history and 39th in NCAA history.

Eagal, a senior linebacker from Stockton, Calif., owns a 3.61 GPA in psychology. He earned academic all-Big West honors in 1998 and 1999 and is expected to have his name on that list again this season.

Eagal is third on the team in tackles this season with 92 and his 300 career tackles ranks 10th all-time at USU.

Both Bohn and Eagal are now eligible for Academic All-America honors, which will be released on Dec. 5.
