Utah State's Tanner Higham Tied For Second After First Round At Southern Utah Hosted Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational

Utah State's Tanner Higham is currently tied for second-place with a 2-under par 70 after the first round of the Southern Utah hosted Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational held here at the Sunbrook Golf Club Monday.
Utah State currently sits in seventh-place in the 14-team field with a 10-over 298. Southern Utah has a four-shot lead after the first round with a 4-under 284, while SUU's Brad Millard sits atop the leader board with a 5-under 67.
Higham, a sophomore from Shelley, Idaho shot a 2-under 34 on the front nine before shooting an even par 36 on the back nine for his 2-under 70, which is his collegiate low round. Overall, Higham recorded six birdies on the day.
Freshman Tanner Jenson (Parker, Colo.) is tied for 11th after shooting an even par 72 (38-34) Monday. Senior Chanse Godderidge (Smithfield, Utah) is tied for 52nd with a 5-over 77 (35-42), senior Austin French (Idaho Falls, Idaho) is tied for 67th at 7-over 79 (39-40), and junior Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) is in 86th-place at 12-over 84 (39-45).
Utah State also has two individuals competing in the tournament as freshman Brennan Coburn (Layton, Utah) is tied for 15th after carding a 1-over 73 (34-39) Monday and freshman Andrew Paulson (Sandy, Utah) is tied for 35th with a 3-over 75 (38-37).
Teams will tee off on Tuesday, February 14 in the final round of the Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational beginning at 9 a.m.
