Utah State's Benjamin Schilleman Finishes Tied For Seventh At Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational

Utah State's Benjamin Schilleman shot a 4-over 76 during the final round of the Southern Utah hosted Pat Hicks Thunderbird Invitational held here Tuesday at the Sunbrook Golf Club and finished the tournament tied for seventh at 1-under par.
Utah State finished in sixth-place in the 12-team field with a 16-over 592 (290-302). Dixie State won the team championship with a 6-under 570 (285-285) and Utah Valley's Mason Casper won the individual title with a 7-under 137 (67-70).
Schilleman, a senior from Layton, Utah, was tied for first-place after the first round following a 5-under 67 before shooting a 4-over 76 during his final 18 holes.
Junior Chanse Godderidge (Smithfield, Utah) finished tied for 23rd with a 2-over 146 (71-75), while sophomore Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) tied for 40th with a 7-over 151 (76-75). Junior Austin French (Idaho Falls, Idaho) was 45th at 8-over 152 (76-76), and senior Tyson McFarland (Rexburg, Idaho) tied for 46th with a 9-over 153 (77-76).
Utah State also had three players compete as individuals as sophomore Kris Sayer (Idaho Falls, Idaho) tied for 68th with a 19-over 163 (84-79), junior Quinn Jensen (Bountiful, Utah) placed 73rd after shooting a 21-over 165 (81-84), and freshman Beau Ehlers (Evanston, Wyo.) was 74th at 24-over 168 (86-82).
Utah State will return to action on Monday, Feb. 21 when it travels to Chandler, Ariz., to compete in the Washington State hosted Snowman Invitational at the Whirlwind Golf Club.
