Utah State's Tanner Higham Tied for 13th Following Second Round of Cal State Fullerton Hosted Folino Invitational

Utah State junior Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) moved into a tie for 13th-place with a 4-over 148 (75-73) after shooting a 1-over 73 during the second round of the Cal State Fullerton hosted Folino Invitational held here at the Industry Hills Golf Club at Pacific Palms on Monday. Higham was tied for 14th after day one of the tournament with his 3-over 75.
Utah State remained in eighth-place in the nine-team field after Tuesday's round with a 38-over 614 (309-305) as it shot four strokes better than it did during its opening round Monday. UC Irvine has a six-shot lead on the field after the first two rounds with a 1-over 577 (290-287), while Sacramento State's Ryan Williams sits atop the leaderboard at 5-under 139 after rounds of 69 and 70.
Freshman Seokwon Jeon (Salt Lake City, Utah) is tied for 35th for Utah State with a 12-over 156 (78-78), as is fellow freshman Reed Platke (Whitefish, Mont.) after carding rounds of 77 and 79 during the first two days of the tournament. Senior Kris Sayer (Idaho Falls, Idaho) is tied for 38th with a 13-over 157 (79-78), and senior Brendan Dennis (Roosevelt, Utah) is tied for 40th with a 14-over 158 (82-76).
Teams will tee off on Tuesday, Feb. 19 in the final round of the Folino Invitational beginning at 9 a.m. (MT) in a shotgun start, and USU will be paired with players from Oakland and Cal State Northridge and begin their final rounds on holes 15, 16 and 17.
